London 2009
McColl Architects have been commissioned to carry out rennovations and an extension to this detached house in the Mill Hill East area of North London.
By reinterpreting the vernacular forms of the area we have managed to provide a scheme with substantially more volume without the site being visually overdeveloped.
The new living room now opens out onto a terraced area constructed from local brick, forming a plinth that the extension at 1st floor, in white render, sits on.
Planning submission is due in August 2009
