Esslemonts 2

Aberdeen 2009

Our client has commissioned us to redesign its womanswear shop in conjunction with a move beside the neighbouring menswear premises (fit out completed 2006).

The concept has its own identity but acknowledges the previous menswear scheme.

This gives a more subtle and tactile form to the fit out which is conceived as a series of free standing wall and ceiling 'drapes' within the existing building shell. This is treated in bleached oak strips as a backgdrop surface finish.

These strips 'bulge' out along the rear wall, providing display shelving, the rythmn abstractly spells the clients name.
